Future Cars

My car is getting quite old lately, I have had it since I first passed my driving test over five years ago, the ford fiesta has done me well, it sometimes reminds me of a warrior because it just goes on and on and it never lets me down. But recently the body work and interior has started to get a bit messy, with rust and the rest.

So I have been saving all of my pennies and am now looking through brochures of new cars. I really do not know what to buy yet so it's becoming quite awkward, I surf online everyday to see if anything that may catch my eye.

More recently while searching through the vide site YouTube I saw this great little video of how cars may look in the future. If you have a look at the above video the future cars will blow your mind away.

Looking at the silver Peugeots or the silver BMW is just amazing and I honestly do believe that in the next 10 years we will be seeing cars that are a lot more rounded. We are progressing technology wise at great speeds, if we go back to the 90s you will remember that cars were square because people did not know how to manipulate metals.

So after viewing this clip I am going to hide my money away and save a bit more until that ultimate futuristic car gets released which I can then go out and buy brand new. Allow upto five more years before we see these on the market.

Facts About Hybrid Cars

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

Originally, it started as an engineering concept at the start of the 21st century. Gas-Electric “hybrid” cars were the dream of the modern society and they were displayed at auto shows to gauge public reaction and market potential. Yet within a few years alone ( a small wink in the vehicle industry), hybrids have changed completely into one of today’s most important automotive trends. Electronic components have really developed over the last ten years and are now more geared than ever to accommodate for the ‘greener solutions of our time. Every bit of a car from basic fuses to solenoids have been updated and modified to be friendlier for the environment. Numerous other components have come into play in the advancement of this technology, but one element in particular, copper, has been indispensable in helping to propel the growth of hybrid vehicles.
According to GM (General Motors) Chief Engineer, Time Grew, “Copper has two important roles in hybrids: It runs the electricity, so you have large amounts of copper in the motor and battery, and, more importantly, the copper technology is making hybrids viable commercially”. Fortunately enough, hybrids have come into the market in a big way. People are more than keen to get their first hybrid vehicle and contribute to saving the world’s energy resources.
These days there are not many cars that are not hybrid cars really. Car companies have a responsibility to now be far more conscious about polluting the planet. It is interesting to try and comprehend where technology will be this time in a few years. Will our cars be even more energy efficient? Only time will tell but I am sure that automotive technology will have a lot of surprises for us up their sleeve. It simply depends on what is going to be viable from a commercial and marketing point of view.

Finding A Classic Car Auction – Tips & Tricks

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

If you are searching for classic cars, then it is helpful to get ideas on finding a possible location where there is a classic car auction coming up. It is nothing out of the ordinary that there are many people out there who will rather buy an old car then a new one. You probably know that others make it a hobby going to such auctions. Likewise, some of them do have a wide collection of old-aged vehicles.

You probably wonder why are there so many people who wait for a classic car auction in their area. The answer is, vehicles that were popular years ago can be easily found in these types of public auto auctions. In this auction, all sorts of vehicles with different running conditions and various ages are being showcased.

Though there are not so many vintage vehicle auctions around, there are still ways to find one. One of the good options you should try is a vintage vehicle magazine and start a search. Auctioneers are using magazines as one of the media to announce their classic car auctions. These kind of magazines are also collected by vintage vehicle aficionados, in most cases. An advice here is to go for popular magazines. This is because auctioneers are likely to advertise on magazines with wide readership.

If you attend some functions that are related to vitnage automobiles, you will be a bit closer to the information on when and where is the next auction. Since the vintage vehicle world is rather small, it is not hard to spread the information about the upcoming classic car auctions.

The Internet is also a venue to get news on vintage vehicle auctions. With people enjoying the convenience of the Internet nowadays, it is not surprising if information concerning vintage automobiles have also invaded the web. Search engines are your best friend here and you need to use them. This easy option works well for busy individuals who are interested on vintage vehicle auctions, yet have no time to hunt for one.

Car Technology change

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Just how far has the car industry come in recent years? From being a luxury way back in the 1930’s to the cheap affordable way you can buy them now using car contract hire it is amazing just how far they have come.

The best way for me to explain how far they have come is to talk about games. I’m going to go back to the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES for short. I really could perhaps go back further than the SNES but as it was really the first proper console I played it is best to cover the changes after this. F1 pole position was really the first driving game I had ever played and for 1993 it is a brilliant piece of gaming.

Four years later and a huge difference can be seen between the the last game and the newer version on the next Nintendo console. The graphic jump between the two is simply astounding. The 2-D to 3-D jump that took place between these two games was huge and it shows. The next jump skips the next generation of consoles and forms itself onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 as some of the graphics on the driving games on these consoles are so realstic it is truly unreal.V.

Of course this hasn’t just happened in the gaming world, many things have been tried and failed or been made into a huge success over the last few years. Without a doubt the best invention to come to the industry of cars has to be the Hybrid car. When the world's oil supply runs dry Hybrid cars will most certainly be one of the main solutions to solve the problem, at least in the car business. As well as this recent technology enables them to run for longer by putting charge into the vehicle whenever you break.

Some of the other technology in the car is fantastic such as the touchscreen's and the never to be forgotten tomtom system.

The Hyrbid car is only going to increase in sales (after the recession that is) and will certainly be the car of the future, but for nowl, you need a car that is both decent and afforable. Leased cars can work out a lot cheaper? The Audi contract hire looks pretty good as well as being as little as £214 a month.

Can the cars you see when playing games become your own?

Friday, February 27th, 2009

When playing the new Grand Turismo, I really do have to say how awsome the cars look compared to their reall counterparts. Sometimes when you’re playing you really fancy yourself one of these absolutely astonishing cars. However, when you really think about it, are they affordable?

With car contract hire they can most certainly become available with as little as £214 a month. When playing games like grand Turismo even I, the person who vowed never to get a really top notch car am thinking about purchasing one. The graphics that are put into games, especially driving games really put the player into the action. If you think how far it has come in ten years it is truly amazing. Playing F1 on the N64 nearly ten years ago I remember thinking that you really are not going to beat the graphics of the game.

When playing the Grand Turismo it is amazing to see just how far the graphics have come over just a few years. It is certainly arguable that you can't compare the N64 playabilty with the PS3's brilliant graphics, then again that could just be my opinion of playing too much N64 when I was a kid. However it was not until I started to play the games that actually showed the cars for how they look in reality that I realised I might actually consider buying one of these cars.

Are these games simply made to advertise all the top cars of recent years? Well of course they are! it is truly amazing how you can pick from so many different car names as well as choose the unique colour for you. In other words you can look at what car you fancy buying and the dream colour without even having to leave the safety of your living room. Fantastic!

As well as this, with hires like Audi contract hire for ridiculously small amounts of money a month, the cars you see in games can truly become your own.

Travel to Work on Foot

Friday, February 27th, 2009

The Government has been pushing a lot lately for people to begin leaving there cars at home and start using public transport, cycling or walking.

But is this a big ask for a country that is said to be a set of couch potatoes? Let us take a view as to a fews facts why the routine will just not work.

1) The country is just too cold; the worst thing is waking up on a cold winter's day and thinking about making your trek to work. In the winter public transport is a lot more likely to be cancelled. I can tell you now that I would much rather prefer to jump into my car put on the heaters and relaxingly drive to work.
2) People in the UK have become like couch potatoes, they either sit infront of the TV or computer all day.
3) Stress is probably the main reason as to why people do not use public transport. Do you remember the freezing winter mornings when you are queuing for a train and then it says cancelled, you are left in a right stressful state thinking of ways to get to work on the dot, it's just a problem that should not be occurring in your life.

So it does not matter what employers do I still firmly believe that the most stress free way to get to work is by car. The government loves to offer things such as bike riding incentives, but I guarantee if it is a cold day, they will be the first to jump in a car.

Obviously people can buy petrol guzzling new cars such as to buy a bmw or buy a Mercedes, so this is what the government should really be concentrating on and that is creating less emitting vehicles.

Downgrading Your Vehicle

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

People are just fascinated with huge vehicles, even if they are struggling with money they still go out and get one. But as times change and as we get caught up in probably one of the worst economic crisis situations we have been in for decades, we have to look at cutting back

Recently it was stated by Liverpool Victoria that nineteen percent of drivers were downgrading their vehicles. There are some apparent facts as to why people are choosing to go smaller, so lets take a brief look.

1) The cost of petrol is forever on the increase, so people want to save and downgrade to a smaller engine.
2) The cost of Road tax and insurance are on the rise for bigger engines, therefore to keep the costs down people have to look at downgrading their vehicles.
3) To service or get a new wheel on an expensive motor it will end up costing a bomb.

People are in love with cars, it’s now become a type of tradition that people have to buy new cars every year or so. Now is the moment that we need to cut back on expenditure, as god knows where the credit crunch will take us. Most people get their new cars on finance, so even that is harder to achieve.

The vehicle sector is probably the industry that is suffering the most, so people just have to accept that driving a huge car is a thing of the past. There is no way that even the richest person can just pop out a buy a Mazda or buy a Lexus. We all just have to be strong and tighten our belts and wait for the economic downturn to get better.
